Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl combine ground meat, grated onion, spices and saffron and mix very well.
  2. Flatten the mixture into a pan, cut the meat lengthwise into strips and add some oil.
  3. Place the pan on the stove on medium heat. Once one side is brown, turn them over one by one and cook for another 20-30 on medium-low heat or until meat is fully cooked.
  4. For Sauce:
  5. Place a small pan on the medium heat. Pour some oil and add tomato paste. Fry until it changes color.
  6. Cut garlic into small pieces and add into the pan.
  7. You can cut tomatoes into small cubes or grate them, then add to the pan.
  8. Sprinkle salt and add green pepper & lemon juice.
  9. Mix until it becomes thick, then pour sauce on kebab

Serve with saffron rice, sumac, fresh herbs and kefir drink (doogh).
